Achievements

Even though we only just started to serve the troops, we have had some successes:

1. Robert Gelt put up his 5-unit apartment building in Otisville, Michigan for housing veterans.

2. We have worked with a few dozen veterans to date, helping them find housing, resources and even offering them housing within our own properties.

3. We received a large property donation, 18 Single Family Residences throughout Genesee Co. Michigan, unencumbered and with clear title.

4. We are actively negotiating on a bulk purchase of 5-8 more single family homes, a 3-unit apartment building and a 25-unit apartment building all throughout the state of Michigan.

5. The VFC has grown its staff to include: Jason Ickes (Our New Executive Director and Green Beret Veteran), Joshua Steele (Our Housing Coordinator) and we are actively onboardinga civil engineer and architect as Project Manager over our housing rehabilitation and new construction.
